Protecting Our Clients and Community During COVID-19
Posted in COVID-19
We continue to serve New York families during the COVID-19 pandemic, following all safety precautions mandated at the state and city-level. All caregivers on staff are required to be fully vaccinated and booster shots continue to be strongly encouraged.
Updated COVID-19 information is distributed to all staff via monthly newsletters, blogs, and quarterly in-service training. Our upcoming fourth quarter in-service training includes providing information on the availability of COVID-19 bivalent vaccines, the new booster doses targeting Omicron subvarients. Information on the 2022-2023 influenza vaccine will also be provided to all staff at that time. SelectCare continues to provide masks and gloves to all employees. Mask mandates remain strictly enforced for all client-facing staff.
SelectCare’s COVID protocols have been thoroughly reviewed and approved by the New York State Department of Health, ensuring caregiver, client, and administrative staff safety is given top priority. These successes would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our Nursing Director, Kelly Takemura and SelectCare’s incredible staff.
New York continues to make COVID-19 vaccines available to eligible residents through individual pharmacies, health centers and mass vaccination locations. Visit the New York State Vaccine website or call 1-833-NYS-4-VAX to find a local vaccination site. Visit the New York State Department of Health for ongoing updates.
