SelectCare NYC Home Health Care Staff Nominated for “Caribbean Life News” Healthcare Awards
Posted in News
Thirty three in-home health care field staff members from SelectCare in New York City were nominated for the first ever Caribbean Life News Healthcare Awards. This award recognizes Caribbean American’s essential contributions as home caregivers and practitioners in New York. The staff members were chosen by SelectCare supervisors based on the outstanding care and compassion towards their clients and comments received by the agency from the patients’ families and friends.
We had a goal of selecting 10 home care staff members but, as we reviewed our staff’s achievements and letters from patients and families, we soon had 33 out of 100 staff members who were from the Caribbean or of Caribbean decent. These staff members truly make the difference every day in their patient’s lives.
Each SelectCare field staff caregiver nominee was acknowledged with a certificate that included the paragraph that was submitted to the nomination committee and an acknowledgement letter. This was a city wide competition and the winner will be contacted by June 25, 2014 by the Caribbean Life News representative.
New York City represents the single largest population of Caribbean people outside of the Caribbean Islands and, for twenty years, Caribbean Life Newspaper has been their voice both locally and globally.
